DUBAI, 12 December 2005 – Malaysian luxury automobile manufacturer Bufori has made its Middle East debut with the Bufori MKIII La Joya at the 2005 Dubai International Motor Show, marking another significant milestone in the company’s international expansion.
Following its successful appearances at the New York and Frankfurt International Motor Shows in 2003, Bufori is bringing its distinctive interpretation of handcrafted luxury motoring to the Middle East, a region renowned for its appreciation of exclusive automobiles, exceptional craftsmanship and individual expression.

The MKIII La Joya is being presented at the eighth edition of the Middle East International Motor Show, held at the Dubai International Convention and Exhibition Centre from 12 to 16 December 2005.
For the occasion, Bufori is showcasing an elegant two-tone La Joya finished in metallic silver with deep burgundy wings and accents. Displayed against a prominent gold Bufori emblem, the automobile takes centre stage in a dedicated exhibition area designed to welcome prospective customers, motoring enthusiasts and industry representatives.
The Bufori MKIII La Joya, whose name means “The Jewel” in Spanish, draws inspiration from the elegant proportions and flowing lines of luxury automobiles from the 1930s. Beneath its nostalgic appearance lies modern automotive engineering, including a lightweight composite body incorporating carbon fibre and Kevlar, a 2.7-litre V6 powertrain and an extensive range of contemporary comfort and convenience features.
Each La Joya is individually handcrafted at Bufori’s manufacturing facility in Kuala Lumpur, Malaysia, allowing customers to specify their vehicles according to their personal preferences. From exterior colour combinations and luxurious interior materials to intricate finishing details and bespoke appointments, every Bufori is conceived as a unique expression of its owner’s individuality.
Gerry Khouri, Founder and Managing Director of Bufori, commented:
“The Middle East is a very important market for luxury automobiles, and we are delighted to introduce the La Joya to Dubai. Customers in this region have a genuine appreciation for exclusivity, craftsmanship and individuality, which are precisely the qualities that define every Bufori.
Our philosophy has always been to create automobiles that are different from anything else on the road. We combine the elegance and romance of classic motoring with modern technology, while offering our customers the freedom to create something truly personal. We believe the La Joya will appeal to those who appreciate an automobile that is as individual as they are.”
Bufori’s participation in the Dubai International Motor Show forms part of the company’s broader strategy to establish an international presence in key luxury automobile markets.
With its growing population of affluent motorists and strong demand for exclusive and personalised vehicles, the Middle East represents a natural opportunity for Bufori’s distinctive approach to automotive manufacturing.
The exhibition also provides an opportunity for the company to develop relationships with prospective customers, distributors and business partners throughout the Gulf region, laying the groundwork for its continued expansion.
