Kuala Lumpur, 15 November 2012 – Malaysian luxury motor car manufacturer Bufori welcomed guests to its factory in Kepong on 14 November 2012 for an exclusive Martell Pure Gourmet Signature Dinner, an elegant evening celebrating the shared values of craftsmanship, passion and the pursuit of excellence.
The Bufori factory was completely transformed to host the Martell Pure Gourmet event.
The event marked the fourth edition of the prestigious Martell Pure Gourmet dinner series, transforming Bufori’s automobile manufacturing facility into a sophisticated fine dining venue. Surrounded by handcrafted luxury motor cars, invited guests experienced an exceptional culinary journey in a setting that brought together two very different expressions of luxury.
The evening featured the combined talents of renowned celebrity chefs Emmanuel Stroobant, based in Singapore, and Antoine Rodriguez, Executive Chef of Le Méridien Kuala Lumpur. Together, they created an exquisite four-course menu designed to complement some of Martell’s finest cognacs.

The culinary experience began with delicate appetisers before progressing through carefully crafted dishes, including bay scallop mousse, slow-cooked chicken ballotine with foie gras and roasted quail. Each course was paired with a selection of Martell’s distinguished cognacs, including Cordon Bleu, XO, Creation Grand Extra and Chanteloup Perspective. The evening concluded with a sophisticated dessert featuring caramelised Sarawak pineapple and gingerbread ice cream.
Christophe Pienkowski, Martell Pure Gourmet Ambassador and chef at Martell’s Château de Chanteloup in France, highlighted the common philosophy behind the collaboration, recognising Bufori’s commitment to quality and craftsmanship as values equally important to Martell.
